Last week, I took my kids out to play and ride their scooters. When we got back, it was bath time, and my wife took over to feed them dinner while I had a couple 1:1 client calls. By the time it was over, I was tired, but I still hadn’t eaten dinner myself.
On most days in the past, I would have browsed my pantry, picked a little of this and little of that, still not feel satisfied, and soon make my way over to the freezer where a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream would so perfectly be sitting waiting for me.
But I didn’t want to do that. Thankfully, I had set myself up so that I had an easy go-to meal that took only 15 minutes to make, and I knew it would be delicious.
As a self-proclaimed fitness professional and sometimes foodie enthusiast, I have a passion for healthy delicious food and a huge desire to show that living a healthy lifestyle can actually be easy and fun! And to celebrate the beginning of fall, I made a 7 Day Healthy Meal Plan I’d like to share with you and I will start with my Tilapia and Broccoli Sprinkled Smoked Paprika.
I heated my oven to 425 degrees F (220C), got a pan out, sprayed it with cooking spray, and added white fish (I used tilapia last night) and frozen broccoli, and sprinkled smoked paprika, red chili powder, salt and pepper on everything (no specific portions, just sprinkled).
When the oven was heated, I set the tray in it and closed the door, set the timer for 15 minutes, and hung out with my wife talking and relaxing while it was cooking. Before I knew it, it was ready. I savored each bite of my light, nutritious, and juicy delicious meal! And here’s one more thing I did – I doubled what I was making so I would have lunch the next day. I made two pieces of fish and double the broccoli all at the same time. When it was done, I put it straight into a glass Tupperware. Today, I already had a meal prepared that I could quickly heat up!

Having food available and prepared and/or easy-to-make BEFORE you’re hungry is a key to lose weight.
When you don’t have food available to you that’s already prepared, you will find yourself eating unhealthy convenience food (grilled cheese, ordering out, or skipping dinner).
How do you make sure you have food available before you’re hungry? Here are some ideas:
